My name is Alejandra Chavira, and I am the founder of Boom Bam Cookies. This project represents the realization of a long-held dream of mine: to share our cherished family recipe with the community. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to perfecting the recipe. What we now call our "original recipe" at Boom Bam is the culmination of that dedication.

It's a harmonious blend of ingredients, where the oatmeal takes center stage. The trail-mix-like ingredients add an element of surprise to each bite. Will it be a piece of chocolate? Perhaps a cranberry, a pecan, or even a crunchy pumpkin seed.

For many years, this recipe has symbolized love in my family. It's THE recipe I've used to teach my children how to bake from when they were tiny toddlers. It's been our companion on numerous trips, picnics, gatherings, and on just ordinary days. 

I've always made this recipe in big batches to share with family, close friends and neighbors. To me, it's the perfect way to say, “I appreciate you, and I am here for you.” Now, with this project, I can share that sentiment with an even broader audience.
